The Tide Of My Life

Tell me, why do you think you feel                         you know what is inside my head, When all you have to go on                         is the words that I've already said. But look around, all that is gone. Look ahead, see a new day's dawn, Its clearer now than its ever been. As the tide of my life rolls in. Trust me, you've helped me more                            than either one of us may ever know. You've shown me who I shouldn't be,                             and where I don't want to go. You've helped me strip my feelings bare, That were wrapped up in "I don't care". It's time to get up and begin, As the tide of my life rolls in. It seems like I've been drifting                               on the sea of life for too long. I'm clinging to this mooring line,                            as if nothing could go wrong. T'was a time that may have been true. Sitting still too long's failure too. Time to cast a sail to the wind, As the tide of my life rolls in.
